About us
JIA Architects is a chartered RIBA practice.
We design new buildings and thoughtful alterations to existing ones. Sustainability is central to our approach, working with our clients to create appropriate and pleasing solutions.
Established in 1983, and initially concentrating on healthcare, JIA have since added houses, offices, schools and leisure buildings to its extensive portfolio of completed work.
JIA was an early member (2004) of The Green Register of Construction Professionals, based in Bristol. We are committed to working towards carbon neutral construction.
Hand in hand with technical understanding goes a keen sense of place-making and aesthetic judgement. Central to our design approach is a willingness to listen to our client’s requirements to formulate a meaningful brief. This forms the basis on which all subsequent proposals are evaluated, often becoming an iterative process, with insight informing further refinement
